SOLD. It’s going to be hard to let this one go! It was hand built in the 1850’s, making the character on this piece awesome. The base is an off-white color and the top is raw, with a few coats of poly added to protect it. I did not change out the knobs because I wanted everything to stay original. I even kept the back of the piece as-is. The back has a hole, but it does not compromise the way this piece functions (see pictures). I think it actually looks cool and adds to the character and history of the piece.
The inside of the drawers have been cleaned, sanded and paper from old hymnals have been added. This piece also has very unique drawer dividers in it. I did not mess with these either because I thought they were so unique and really made the piece special.
